Working with Energy Trust

Saving energy by investing in energy efficient technologies.

In 2008, Western Pulp, with the assistance of the Energy Trust of Oregon, upgraded the entire Corvallis manufacturing facility to energy efficient lighting. The estimated annual kilowatt-hour savings per year from the project total 141,401 kWh. Corvallis Sustainability coalition

Western becomes a partner in local Sustainability Coalition

The Corvallis Sustainability Coalition is a network of organizations and citizens in Corvallis and Benton County who are working together to accelerate the creation of a sustainable community. It was formed in January 2007 and operates under the auspices of the Oregon Natural Step Network. More than 100 organizations have joined — including nonprofit organizations, businesses, faith communities, educational institutions and government entities — as well as individual citizens.
