Western Pulp Products (WPP) has manufactured molded pulp product since 1958. Headquartered in Corvallis, Oregon, WPP also operates facilities in Texas and North Carolina.

WPP manufactures molded pulp products from recycled waste paper in order to produce environmentally friendly products. The Scientific Certification Systems (SCS) Material Content certification program has recognized Western Pulp Products, verifying its claims of using recycled, reclaimed, salvaged, and bio-based materials content for the majority of its products.

The most popular WPP products are Vintner’s Choice Wine Shippers, premium quality molded fiber nursery and greenhouse containers, paper maché floral containers, ReCreations® floral containers, and patented CornerGards™, EdgeGards™ and Shock Block® protective packaging inserts.

Vintner’s Choice Wine Shippers

Collaboratively developed by leading consumer-direct fulfillment and supply chain services for the wine industry, the Vintner’s Choice Wine Shipper is more efficient than other shipping methods. The wine shippers are able to withstand the hazards of today’s distribution environment, and have met the high standards required by FedEx, UPS, and ISTA test labs. Their compact nesting design reduces storage space requirements, saving almost two-thirds the space needed for traditional EPS shippers. The SCS program has certified Vintner’s Choice shippers as containing 99% recycled content.

Nursery and Greenhouse Containers

Premium Quality Molded Fiber biodegradable nursery and greenhouse containers from WPP are porous, promoting healthy plant growth, allowing roots to breathe and plants to thrive. WPP manufacturers a wide range of containers including; hanging baskets and patio planters; small to large nursery containers, and retail plug carriers. These molded fiber containers are natural insulators and protect plants from hot and cold extremes and retain moisture better than plastic alternatives. WPP nursery containers are produced with renewable resources and are SCS certified for their recycled content.

Floral Containers

WPP floral containers vary from classic maché liners to ReCreations®—elegant, aesthetically pleasing watertight paper containers that have transformed the floral industry. ReCreations come in a variety of sizes and three natural colors: field straw, fresh basil and natural bark. WPP’s classic white and green maché are made from recycled paper; are easy to use, hold water for weeks and offer a tasteful, economical way to present flowers and plants.

Packaging Solutions

WPP manufactures molded fiber CornerGards™, EdgeGards™, as well as Shock Block® industrial cushions for packaging protection. WPP inserts are ready-to-go packaging solutions; ideal for case goods, kitchen/bath cabinets, RTA furniture, electronics, and products shipped box-within-a-box. These high-performance, low cost packaging products require no assembly for easier and safer packout. WPP packaging products pass critical performance evaluations set forth by FedEx, UPS, Motor Freight Carriers and ISTA test labs. Shock Blocks have been engineered as the ultimate in shock absorption and impact protection and minimize abrasion of finishes with their sueded felt-like surface. With WPP, protection for the environment comes standard – the SCS certifies WPP packaging products as 98% minimum recycled product.
